“DUNKING DOLLARS “ WILLIAMS SAAC and FOOTBALL to RAISE MONEY for FOOD BANK of WESTERN MASSACHUSETTS SATURDAY

WILLIAMSTOWN, MA -- In this tough winter weather and equally challenging economic times it is now more important than ever to support those in our area who are less fortunate.

The Williams College Student Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) and members of the undefeated Williams College football team are teaming up Saturday, February 12 to raise money for the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts at the men's and women's basketball doubleheader versus archrival Amherst to be played in Williams' Chandler Gym.

The Eph fundraising event is being called, “DUNKING DOLLARS.” Prior to the men’s game at 2:00 p.m. and the women's game at 4:00 p.m. Williams SAAC members and football players will solicit cash donations for the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts.

“The opportunity for our team to be involved in such an event means so much to our entire program,” noted Eph football head coach Aaron Kelton. “We strongly believe in community service and want to help any way we can. The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts serves so many people, knowing we’re able to help really makes this opportunity special.”

Fans attending the doubleheader are reminded that there is no admission fee charged for regular season athletic contests at Williams. SAAC and Williams football encourage all attending the hoops doubleheader to be generous donors to the DUNKING DOLLARS campaign.

Eph football players will be out in force to collect donations on Saturday
