Cameron Named NESCAC Co-Defensive Player of the Week

HADLEY, MA - Williams' defensive linebacker Chris Cameron '13 has been named the NESCAC Co-Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending October 30, 2011.

Leading the team with seven total tackles, six solos and one assisted, Cameron helped the Ephs defeat the Hamilton College Continentals 14-7 this weekend.

One of Cameron's top performances this week was a sack totaling a loss of 12 yards. He also caused a forced fumble, and claimed a fumble recovery with 55 seconds left in regulation to seal the win for the Ephs.

Cameron currently leads the team in forced fumbles this season (2). His 45 total tackles, including 29 solos, are second for the Ephs in 2011. Cameron has also recorded 6.5 tackles for a loss totaling 37 yards, and 3 sacks against opponents.

The Ephs are now third in the NESCAC standings with a 4-2 record. The team will travel to Middletown, CT this Saturday to face the 3-3 Wesleyan Cardinals in a Little Three match-up. Kick-off is set for 1:00 P.M.
