WILLIAMSTOWN, MA – A fourth place finish in the NESCAC men's ice hockey regular season standings by Williams College (13-8-3, 10-5-3 NESCAC) has set up a meeting between the Ephs and fifth-seeded arch rival Amherst College (14-6-3, 9-6-3 NESCAC) on Saturday, Feb. 25 in Lansing Chapman Rink. The puck will drop at 3:00 p.m.
This is the fifth consecutive year that the Ephs have hosted a NESCAC First Round contest.
The Ephs split their season series with Amherst this winter, claiming a 4-3 win in Lansing Chapman Rink in December and dropping a 1-0 decision at Amherst last Friday.
The Ephs and Amherst have been playing each other in hockey since 1909 and Williams holds a 92-39-4 advantage.
