Senior Captain and Attack James McFarland Collects His Second NESCAC Player of the Week Award This Season

HADLEY, MA -- Williams College senor captain and attack James (McFarland (Northbrook, Ill) has been named the NESCAC Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week for the second time this season.

Netting 10 goals and one assist last week in NESCAC wins over Hamilton and Colby enabled McFarland to earn player of the week honrs again. In the Ephs' 9-5 win over Hmailton McFarland posted a game-high four goals and then on Saturday he bumped his game-high goal tally to six and added an assist in a 16-12 win over Colby.

With the two wins last week the Ephs improved to 6-6 on the year and moved into fourth place in NESCAC with a conference ledger of 5-3.

McFarland has played in 11 games to date and is second on the Eph team with 24 goals scpred and combined with eight assists has 32 points. He is tied for 15th in goals scored in NESCAC.

In addition, McFarland has cuased four turnovers and has collected 20 ground balls .

McFarland averages one goal a game in his career, having played in 37 contests and with 13 career assists has registered 50 points.

Next up for the Ephs is a road contest at Western New England University in Springfield, Mass. tomrrow at 7:00 PM.
