HADLEY, MA — Williams College junior catcher/infielder Lexi Curt (Moorpark, CA) has been selected as the New England Small College Athletic Conference's Player of the Week for play ending Sunday, April 9.
Curt batted .563 in a 5-0 week for the Ephs. She knocked out at least one hit and one RBI in each of the five games. She had a .611 on-base percentage, a 1.375 slugging percentage, scored seven runs and drove in nine. Five of her nine hits were for extra bases, including four home runs.
In a three-game sweep of Hamilton, she went 5-for-10 with a double, two home runs and seven RBIs while scoring five times. In the second game of the series, the Ephs trailed 6-0. Curt's solo home run leading off the bottom of the sixth led to a 7-6 victory.
Curt currently leads the Ephs with a .449 batting average, eight doubles, six home runs and 22 RBI. The Ephs are off until Thursday, when they travel to Troy to take on RPI in a doubleheader beginning at 4 p.m.
