OKLAHOMA CITY, OK. -- Williams College junior Lexi Curt (Moorpark, CA) has been chosen as a National Fastpitch Coaches Association Third Team All-American, it was announced Wednesday night.
Previously named an NFCA First Team All-New England selection as well as the New England Small College Athletic Conference's Player of the Year (and First Team All-NESCAC), Curt is leading the Ephs with a .380 batting average, 10 home runs and 36 RBI this season.
"She's just a really impressive person, player and teammate," said Ephs' head coach Kris Herman. "She has a great work ethic, she's always looking for ways to improve in the field and at the plate, but even more than that, what she works hardest at is looking for ways she can help make our team better."
Curt has set single-season records at Williams this year for doubles (16) and home runs (10).
She has also set career records for home runs (23) and doubles (38) and is currently second all-time with 111 RBI. She is also second in total bases for a single season with 105 and third all-time in total bases with 253.
This is the third consecutive season Herman has had a player named an NFCA All-American as Curt joins Erica Li (Third Team - 2016) and Mo Frank (Second Team -- 2015) on the list.
Williams (36-11) will face St. John Fisher (41-6) in its opening game of the 2017 NCAA Div. III Tournament national championships Thursday at 7:30 p.m. EST.
