With the Eph women's tennis team winning a record fifth consecutive NCAA title Alison Swain's Eph team is sure to be in the highlight mix. Swain has played on or coached the Ephs to six of the seven NCAA titles they have won since being permitted to compete in the NCAA team championships in 1994. The seven NCAA titles won by the Ephs in women's tennis is tops in Division III.
In the 2011-12 campaign Swain's Ephs recorded a 24-2 record, which included two wins over Div. II teams and at least one win over all of the other seven teams that advanced to the NCAA Quarterfinals.
The seven NCAA titles won by the Ephs is tops in NCAA Division III play.
The Eph men's tennis team, which posted its highest NCAA finish (3rd) since 2004 may also appear in the highlights as well with their semifinal match versus champion Emory going the distance, 5-4.
Rookie head women's crew coach Kate Maloney, who guided the Ephs to a record seventh straight NCAA title in her debut season, will be interviewed on the NCAA rowing segment and her team will also appear in the highlights. Maloney was the fourth different Eph head coach to win the NCAA title in the seven-year skein.
Maloney's Varsity 1 boat compiled an undefeated fall and spring and own its third Head of the Charles Collegiate Eights title in the past four years and second in a row. The Eph Varsity 2 boat, which won its NCAA Gran Final race by open water, finished the spring season with nine consecutive wins.
The Ephs have now won eight of the 11 NCAA Division III rowing titles.
