Williams Cross Country Teams Day of Service – Three Locations

WILLIAMSTOWN, MA – The Williams College men's and women's cross country teams have made it an annual commitment to engage in an in-season community service. This year the Ephs engaged in their day of public service on Monday, October 8.

Eph team members were engaged with the local communities in three different locations.

Two locations in Williamstown and one in North Adams were the recipients of help and support from the Ephs.

At the Williamstown Rural Lands Foundation headquarters south of the campus on U.S. Route 7 an Eph crew cleared brush, trimmed along the stonewalls surrounding the property, and trimmed and cleaned the area of the Foundation property fronting Route 7.

A little further south and a bit west another Eph crew joined Peace Valley Farm owner Bill Stinson just off Route 2 West by moving many, many split logs into winter storage.

Once that huge task of moving split logs was completed the Ephs gathered to shuck and sort the Peace Valley onion harvest.

In North Adams Eph team members helped prepare and serve lunch at the Northern Berkshire Food Project and they engaged in multiple conversations with the folks who gathered for lunch.
