WILLIAMSTOWN, MASS. -- The New Englad Division III Track & Field Championships began Thursday on The Lee Family Track at the Weston Field Athletic Complex on the campus of Williams College when the men competed in five events of the decathlon.
Today competition resumes with the 110m hurdles of the decathlon starting at 12:00 PM. The first women's event of the day will be in the heptathlon starting at 12:20 PM with the 100m hurdles. The final two events to be contested on Friday will be the 10,000m run for the women at 6:30 PM and the men will close out the day with their 10,000m run beginnng at 7:15 PM.
The final day of the championships will be Saturday, May 4 when the competition begins with the long jumo in the heptathlon at 10:00 AM.

The first five events of the men's decathlon were contested today at the 2019 New England DIII Track & Field Championships.
Competing in cool, drizzly conditions, Cayd Wortman of Husson jumped out to the early lead by winning the 100 meter dash, and after briefly relinquishing the lead, Wortman closes out the first day of competition at the top of the standings, with 3268 points. His closest competition appears to be Brendan Donahue of Bates and Ben Stein of Tufts, each with 3171 points. Donahue excelled in the shot put and has been solid in every other event, while Stein had the best mark of the field in the long jump, 6.61m into a slight headwind.
The five following those three include Jack Allan from Brandeis, with 3164 points, Ben Telicki from Williams and Zach Buckland from Fitchburg State, each with 2942, Jack Dufton from Amherst with 2858, and Liam Evans from Bates, with 2797.
