CLEVELAND -- The Williams College Ephs are in 10th place after the fall season in the 2019-20 Learfield IMG Directors' Cup standings in NCAA DIII.
Johns Hopkins leads with 481.0 points. The Blue Jays are 238.0 points ahead of Williams, which tallied 243.0 points from three sports.
The Eph men's and women's cross country teams each tallied 85 points by finishing third and women's soccer added 73 points with a fifth place finish. Johns Hopkins
scored in six sports, winning NCAA titles in both women's cross country and women's volleyball.
NESCAC led all conferences with four teams ranked in the top 25:
Tufts (2) -- 354.50 points
Middlebury (5) -- 305.0 points
Williams (10) -- 243.0 points
Amherst (19) -- 191.0 points
Last fall the Ephs were in seventh place after the fall season and 207.50 points behind Johns Hopkins, but the Ephs rallied throughout the winter and spring to win their
22nd Cup in the 24-year history of the award.
The Ephs' 10th place finish this fall is their lowest finish since 2015 when they finished 33rd in the fall, but rallied to finish in a tie for 2nd in the spring of 2016.
