I think the real question here is: What don't I do?
I also am a published author with a three-book series out and the first in a new series coming May 1. The first trilogy, The Song of the Ash Tree, is set in the world of Norse mythology and tells the story of a Viking warrior trying to outwit the end of the world. For my new series, I finally get to use my Master's of Classical Archeology from Birkbeck, University of London. I pretend I'm an archaeologist and the main character is actually one and she stumbles upon a mysterious artifact with a harrowing history. Naturally, problems follow.
Williams graduation year: 2007
Degree you earned at Williams: B.A. History
Sport(s) played at Williams: Four years of Women's Ice Hockey…sort of Lacrosse for three years.
How you got involved in Eph Sports Information: As an incoming freshman, I knew one of my future hockey teammates (Jackie O'Rourke '06) worked in the Sports Info office. Somehow this resulted in me doing the same. DQ can attest that I spent about two months being terrified of the office.
What you did in Eph Sports Information: I covered the Women's Soccer team for four years. I like to think of those four years as the vital lead-up to the many NCAA Championship titles that have followed.
Favorite Eph Sports Information memory: A combination of wandering around Hopkins Hall in the middle of the night, fighting with the fax machine, and freezing down at Cole Field in November rain. Oh, and visiting DQ when I wasn't working.
