Kris Dufour is entering his 14th year at Williams, his seventh as the Associate Director of Sports Information.
Dufour is tasked with website development and maintainence, social media support, photography, video web streaming responsibilities, and all statistical responsibilities (NCAA, conference and otherwise) to go along with historical records and athletic research. He has coordinated the redesign of the athletic department's official web site four times. In his 13 years at Williams, he has served as media relations coordinator for 21 NESCAC championship events and 56 NCAA Tournament contests.
Dufour is an accomplished photographer, and is responsible for the majority of athletic photographs at Williams. He has been published in or on Sports Illustrated, USA Today, The Boston Globe, The N.Y. Times, CNNSI.com, and ESPN.com among others.
Immediately prior to joining the Williams staff Dufour served as the sports editor of the North Adams (MA) Transcript from 1995 to 2002 as the managing editor from 2002 to 2004. Prior to that he was a sportswriter for the Brazoport Facts in Clute, Texas. He had a 15-year career as a sportswriter/sports editor for papers in New York, Georgia, Texas and Massachusetts.
Dufour is a 1990 graduate of SUNY-Old Westbury (Bachelors' Degree in American Studies) and studied at Syracuse University's esteemed S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.
Dufour and his wife, Stacey, reside in Williamstown with their daughter, Olivia (6).
