Williamstown--The Williams Men's Squash (3-5) team completed Saturday 2-0, taking down Bowdoin and Colby 8-1 and 6-3, respectively.
Taking on Bowdoin in the first match of the day, the Ephs looked to rebound from yesterday's loss to Yale. The bottom half of the lineup played well and took the six through nine spots without dropping the game. Senior co-captains Will Gruner and Jeremy Herrmann grinded out solid victories at the two and three spots, each winning in four games. First year Taylor Foehl had the lone Williams loss of the match, falling in a closely contested five gamer.
Resting four of the usual top nine players, Williams took on a tough Colby team shortly after completing their Bowdoin match. Wins by Aaron Seong, Eli Bronfman, and Michael Pizzi at the six, eight, and nine positions proved to be crucial. Jeremy Herrmann, Alec Greaves-Tunnell, and Ryan Eagan provided the other three wins, each playing well en route to 3-0 victories.
"I saw great work by the men's team today, we are getting sharper with every match. Tomorrow will be a huge test against Bates but we are all looking forward to it" commented head coach Zafi Levy.
The eleventh ranked Ephs will take on the twelfth ranked Bates Bobcats at home on Sunday in what promises to be their closest contested match of the year. Match time is scheduled for 12:00.
