Men's Squash

Ephs Shine, Top Bates

Williamstown, MA —The Williams Men's Squash team (4-5) put forth a brilliant performance this afternoon, taking down Bates College 9-0.

The day was marked by impressive performances by co-captains Will Gruner and Jeremy Herrmann at the second and third positions, each taking down their opponents in four closely contested games. Nick Marks also won in four at the five spot.

"It was great to see the younger guys elevate their games today and really take it to another level after an exhausting weekend in which we had to play three matches" said Jeremy Herrmann.

The Ephs were spurred on by impressive, three game wins from underclassmen Will Morris, Taylor Foehl, Alec Greaves-Tunnell, Jack Ervasti, and Andy Maruca.

"A Fabulous performance from the men's squad today," commented head coach Zafi Levy. "I am so proud of how the guys played today. We showed a lot of character and skill against a very strong side. We'll take this win and hope to build on it at Penn next weekend."

Williams now turns their attention to next weekend's match against the University of Pennsylvania, perennially one of their biggest rivals. The mid-atlantic swing also features matches against the Naval Academy and George Washington University in Annapolis, MD.
