WILLIAMSTOWN-- The Williams Mens' Squash team earned its first victory of the season Saturday, taking down Hamilton 9-0.
Each Eph was able to take their match in three games, though not without some work. Alec Greaves-Tunnell was pushed hardest at number five. Down 10-9 in the third game, he was able to fend off two game points before taking the match 13-11. Sophomore Andy Maruca lost only eight points on his way to victory.
"I thought the team played good, focused squash today. Yesterday we went in to our match with Harvard as heavy underdogs, and today we were heavy favorites, so we had a completely different mindset, but I thought they handled the adjustment well," said coach Zafi Levy after the match.
Williams will finish off its opening weekend tomorrow, when they take on Cornell University in the Simon Squash Center at noon.
