PROVIDENCE-- The #10 ranked Williams Men's Squash team turned in a solid performance on the road at Brown, taking the match 8-1.
Taylor Foehl had the closest win of the day for Williams. Foehl jumped out to a 2-0 lead but struggled through the third and fourth, only to win a nail-biter fifth game 13-11.
It took several Ephs four games to overcome their opponents. Andy Maruca lost his first game before coming back to win in four. Conor McClintock lost his third game and Will Morris his second before clinching their matches. Kevin Chen was the only Eph to lose on the evening, coming back from a 2-0 deficit but falling in his fifth game.
Dartmouth and Middlebury will travel to Williamstown this weekend on Saturday and Sunday, respectively, which will prove stern tests for the team. Dartmouth is ranked #7 in the nation and beat Williams 7-2 last season. Williams defeated Middlebury in the regular season and nationals last year. Both matches are scheduled for 2:00 PM in the Simon Squash Center.
