PRINCETON-- The Williams men's squash team advanced to the semi-finals of the "B" draw at the College Squash Association National Team Championship with a 7-2 win over Brown.
First-year Nick Greaves-Tunnell got the Ephs off to a solid start with a swift 3-0 win. Andy Maruca fought hard but lost in a tight five games. Alec Greaves-Tunnell won in four to give Williams a 2-1 lead after the first round of matches.
Chris Wilkinson had an emphatic 3-0 win at number eight, losing only 5 points total on his way to victory. Nick Marks had a similarly solid win at number five to give the Ephs a 4-2 lead.
Will Morris had to work hard to earn his victroy at number one. Morris won the first and third game but dropped the second and fourth, only to pull out his fifth game in convincing fashion. Julian Drobetsky and Taylor Foehl rounded out the match with two more three game victories.
Williams will face Columbia in their semi-final match tomorrow. Columbia entered as the sixth seed in the "B" draw and upset third seeded Navy 5-4 on Friday. Williams beat Columbia 8-1 three weeks ago in New York City. Match time is set for 12:00.
