Men's Squash falls to Franklin & Marshall 9-0

LANCASTER, PA—The Ephs traveled to Franklin & Marshall to face the ninth ranked Diplomats on Friday, January 16th.

The match would be played in a modified five-court system, where the women's even numbers played, followed by the men's even matches, and then the odds. Going into the match, Zafi Levy's Eph team knew it would be a tough match, especially as three of the top nine players were being rested due to minor injuries and the important upcoming matches against George Washington University and Navy.
Nonetheless, every player in the lineup gave their best effort. Jamie Ruggiero '17 and Mason Elizondo '18 were the only two Ephs to capture games, and they did so at the #1 and #10 positions, respectively. The match was highlighted for the Ephs by an exhibition win from Jack McLean '17, who won in an intense five-game battle in front of a packed crowd.
The Ephs have three more contests this weekend, with Saturday's slate containing George Washington and Georgetown, and the highly anticipated match with the U.S.Naval Academy on Sunday.
