Williams Falls to Middlebury 7-2

Williamstown, MA--The Williams Men lost 7-2 to a very good Middlebury team yesterday afternoon in the Simon Squash Center. Williams coach Zafi Levy stated: "This was the best team we have ever faced from Middlebury, and they were better than us at seven of the nine positions on the ladder. We played hard, but could not match their skill level."

The Ephs saw good wins from Jamie Ruggiero '17 (#1) in three games, and Michael Petrick '16 (#5) in four games. Drew Litvin '18 (#10) also won in four games in the exhibtion match. The Ephs will need to train hard this next week in order to prepare for Yale on Saturday in New Haven, CT, and then the annual Little Three Tournament with Amherst and Wesleyan at Williams on Sunday. With Williams ranked #18 in the country and Wesleyan ranked #19, it should be the closeset tournament in the event's history.
