Williams falls to #2 ranked Columbia 8-1

NEW YORK, NY - The Men's squash team fell today to the highly ranked (#2) Columbia team in their trip to NYC.

The ephs traveled to Columbia as a part of a weekend roadtrip where they played Columbia on Friday and will play Amherst and Wesleyan on Saturday.

The match began in the traditional three court system where Will Means '20, Will Ruggiero '19, and Ben Eisenberg '19 at the 3, 6 and 9 spots. After succumbing to their talented opponents, Will Means and Will Ruggiero fell whereas Ben Eisenberg produced the only upset of the night with his win at the 9 spot.

Up next at the 2, 5, and 8 spots were John Fitzgerald '19, John Shuck '17, and Claude Smith '20, While Fitzgerald fell in three, John Shuck and Claude Smith put up commendable four and five game performances respectively against their opponents. 

Lastly, at the 1, 4, and 7 spots, Jamie Ruggiero '17, Carl Shuck '20, and Mason Elizondo '18 unfortunately all fell in three.

The men will travel to Amherst tomorrow to compete in Little Threes.
