Williams Finish Second to #1 Trinity

WILLIAMSTOWN, MA - In a match that was always going to tough, the Ephs were soundly beaten 9-0 by the Bantams, the #1 ranked team in the nation and last year's national champions.

Using the three court system, the first players on court were freshman Wyatt Khosrowshahi (#3), sophomore Claude Smith (#6), and junior Ben Eisenberg (#9). All three played solid matches and fought hard but were defeated 3-0 by strong Trinity opponents. Next on were sophomores Carl Shuck (#2) and David Pincus (#5), joined by senior captain Jamie Havran (#8). Pincus and Havran both battled but fell short, succombing to a pair of skillful Trinity players in three games. Shuck played a brilliant match as he does done so numerous times as of recent, winning the first game before losing the match in a close 3-1 encounter. Sophomore Will Means (#1), freshman AJ Solecki (#4), and senior captain Mason Elizondo (#7) all made up the final wave of play and played hard, but all three were defeated 3-0.

The Ephs look forward to their match tomorrow morning at 11 am against Dartmouth.
