Steamboat Springs, CO – The second day of the 2018 NCAA Skiing Championships unfolded today at Howelsen Hill, which is 6,700 feet above sea level, with the Women's 5K Classical, followed by the Men's 10K Classical. Clear skies and fast conditions made for a great day of racing.
Braden Becker '19 competed today for the Ephs. Becker booked his ticket to Steamboat with a second place finish at the NCAA Regional Championships two weeks ago at Middlebury College. After a strong start, Becker skied his way into third with half of the field still to come.

Jason Lemieux remarked, "Braden skied consistently and managed his energy well. This would be a tough course at sea level, so we are proud of his performance today." Becker will race again on Saturday in the Men's 20k Skate, which will be streamed live on NCAA.com.
