Eph Squash Blanks the Colby Mules 9-0

WILLIAMSTOWN, MA - The Williams men's squash team returned to the Simon Squash Center to take on Colby for the last of a NESCAC three-match weekend. Showing depth throughout the lineup, the Ephs quickly went up 3-0 thanks to three-game wins from Will Ruggiero '19 (#9) and A.J. Solecki '21 (#6). Wyatt Khosrowshahi '21 (#3) was pushed to four games and iced out his opponent with a 15-13 win in the fourth game.

Anand Butler '19 (#8) defeated his opponent in three games while Krish Bhavnani '22 (#5) dropped the third game before shutting down his opponent 11-2 in the fourth. Carl Shuck '20 (#2) was on the verge of closing out his match in three games but a couple of mistakes cost him the third and fourth games before a clinical close in the fifth game at 11-8, making the score 6-0. 

Co-Captain Ben Eisenberg '19 (#7) and William Means '20 (#4) were in jeopardy of losing a tie break first game but handled the pressure well and proceeded to three-game victories. In the last match of the day, co-captain John Fitzgerald '19 (#1) had a brief setback losing the first game but came back strong to win in four games, making the final score 9-0 Ephs.

Men's Squash will be on the road from next Friday through Sunday to play F&M, Navy, University of Virginia, and George Washington University.
