ANNAPOLIS, MD - A couple hours after the Williams v. Navy match, the Ephs played the UVA Cavaliers. The five-court system saw numbers 8,6,4,2 play first followed by numbers 9,7,5,3,1. Starting slow, the Ephs went down 4-0 after losses from David Pincus '20 (#8), Krish Bhavnani '22 (#6), Jacob Bassil '22 (#4), and Carl Shuck '20 (#2).
The Ephs miraculously came back pulling out four five-game wins from Ben Eisenberg '20 (#9), A.J. Solecki '21 (#7), Williams Means '20 (#5), and Wyatt Khosrowshahi '21 (#3). Co-Captain John Fitzgerald '19 (#1) was the last match to conclude and looked like he was out of the match before coming back from 2-0 but ultimately lost 11-8 in the fifth, which saw UVA win 5-4.
Men's Squash will travel to Washington D.C. to play George Washington tomorrow at noon.
