Women's Purple Key Award
Molly C. Craig (Swimming & Diving)

A trophy, awarded to the senior female and male athletes who best exemplify leadership, team spirit, ability and character. Selected by a dean, a female and male member of Purple Key, two varsity coaches and one academic faculty member.

A trophy, awarded for the first time in 1958, for the senior male certificate winner who best exemplifies leadership, team spirit, ability and character. Chosen by a dean, a male member of Purple Key, two varsity coaches and one academic faculty member.

Class of 1925 Scholar Athlete Award
Elizabeth G. Welch (Field Hockey)
Presented in 1977 by the Class of 1925. Awarded annually to recognize that senior woman athlete whose commitment and excellence in athletics and scholarship are an inspiration to the Williams community. The recipient will have her name inscribed on a permanent trophy and receive a replica for her possession. The selection committee consists of a dean, varsity coaches of two women's teams or clubs, a woman student and one academic faculty member.

Willard E. Hoyt, Jr. '23 Award
Paul O. Leclerc (Swimming & Diving)
Presented to the College by the Alpha Delta Phi Class of 1960 in memory of Willard E. Hoyt, Jr. '23. Awarded annually to that senior letterman whose spirit and superior efforts on behalf of Williams' athletics have been combined with a genuine academic interest. The winner's name will be inscribed on the permanent trophy and he will receive a small replica for his possession. The selection committee consists of a dean, a men's varsity coach, a male student from Purple Key and one academic faculty member.
Kate Hogan Athletic AwardÂ
Rachel A. Neugart (Softball)
First established on the 25th anniversary of women's athletics at Williams College. Renamed in memory of Kate Hogan '87, a participant on the varsity soccer and lacrosse teams, the junior varsity lacrosse and squash teams, as well as an avid intramural basketball player and runner. Awarded annually at Class Day to the senior woman who has distinguished herself in her commitment and contributions to the Department of Physical Education, Athletics and Recreation. The winner will have engaged in any of the activities offered by the department, and will have been an example of the joy and pleasure derived by participation in such activities. Nominations will be solicited from the chair of the department, the Senior Woman Administrator, the coordinator of Physical Education, the coordinator of Intramurals, the coordinator of Dance, the director of the Outing Club, the director of Sports Medicine, members of both varsity and junior varsity women's teams, members of club teams and members of the dance companies. The winner will be selected by a vote of the faculty/members of the athletic department.

The Ephmanship Award is presented to two senior athletes who embody sportsmanship and excellence in the spirit of Williams College athletics. Nominees are solicited from coaches and the award is voted on by the student-athlete members of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee(SAAC).
Canby Award
Reid Kurashige
The Canby Award is a cash prize established by W. Marriott Canby, 1891, and awarded at commencement to the senior who has attained the highest average standing in scholarship during his or her course. The recipient must have been in college since the beginning of his or her junior year, and must have represented the College in a recognized intercollegiate athletic contest.
