WILLIAMSTOWN, MASS. – During the 2023 Williams College Reunion Weekend the Class of 1973 asked Harry Sheehy '75 to speak on his career in athletics.
Sheehy played basketball at Williams before there was a Division III in NCAA play, scoring 1,449 points in three seasons (freshmen were not allowed to play Varsity sports at that time).
After Williams Sheehy had a free agent tryout with the Philadelphia 76ers and later ended up playing for Athletes in Action. He once dropped 35 points on the Russian National Team in the LA Sports Arena.
Sheehy is the all-time leading scorer and rebounder for Athletes in Action.
Sheehy coached men's basketball at Williams and later served as the Williams Athletic Director and later was the Athletic Director at Dartmouth.
