WILLIAMS SWEEPS BOWDOIN 9-0

WILLIAMSTOWN, MA - Today the Eph men's squash team faced off against Bowdoin at home and won 9-0. There were close matches up and down the ladder, but the Ephs remained focused during those matches to take the win. Interim head coach Hesham Aly said, "The team showed their ability to handle pressure well, and got the result they were looking for."

Starting off on the three court system for Williams was John Nicholson, who won his match 3-0, remaining headstrong in the second game which he won 15-13. Alex Akbari dropped the first two games as his opponent played some skillful shots. However, Akbari was able to take back control of his game and won the next three games solidly. Nick Agger started strong, but ended up dropping the second game. He regrouped and then won his match 3-1.

Starting off the second round for the Ephs was Leonard Lee, who stayed strong throughout the first two games, but a lapse in quality in the third cost him that game. However, he refocused and won 3-1. Next up was Jack Lee, who utilized all four corners of the court well to swiftly win 3-0. And last up in the second round was Andrew Minnis, who won the first game solidly, but a lapse in quality cost him the second game. However, he remained focused and came from behind in both the third and the fourth games to win 3-1.
