WILLIAMSTOWN, MA - This Saturday, Williams men's squash faced off against Navy on their home courts. It was a strong showing for Williams, as they did not drop a game down the ladder. Co-Captain
Andrew Minnis said that he was "proud of the way the team conducted themselves today."
Starting off for the Ephs on the three court system were
Charles Merrill,
Alex Akbari, and
Andrew Minnis. All three of them kept up a high pace to move their opponent around and find the winning shots. They each won 3-0.
Next up in the second round of matches was
John Nicholson, who swiftly won in three games.
Asher Leavy also won in three games, utilizing his strength to bring him to victory. First year
Nick Agger continued his winning streak with a 3-0 win over his opponent as well.
And last up for the Ephs was first year
Hudson Lin, who used his ball control to win his match in three games.
Jack Lee also swiftly won in three games, and Co-Captain
Will Evans played tight squash to win in three close games at the 1 seed.
It was a good showing for Williams, with good sportsmanship and talent exhibited by each player. They look forward to tomorrow when they play Dickinson at home.Â
