WILLIAMS DEFEATS DICKINSON 9-0

WILLIAMSTOWN, MA - The Williams Men's Squash team defeated Dickinson 9-0. Williams played tight squash up and down the ladder, ending the weekend of matches on a high note. Co-captain Will Evan's said that he was "glad that everyone gave it their all today, which was shown in the result."

Starting off the Ephs on the three court system were Rafay Syed and Hudson Lin, who both won convincingly in three games. Asher Leavy had a slow start to his match, losing the first two games. However he got back to his game plan and won the next two games. The fifth game went to a tiebreak, but Asher remained headstrong and won 16-14 to take the match. 

Starting the second round of matches for the Ephs was Charles Merrill, who swiftly won 3-0. Alex Akbari dropped a close first game 12-10, but then he got back to his game plan and won the next three games. Andrew Minnis took control of his game, using good ball control to win his match in three games.

And last on for the Ephs was John Nicholson and Pierce Henderson, who both won in three with Pierce winning his first game 11-0. Nick Agger exhibited both his discipline and squash skills today, coming from being down 10-7 in the first to win 12-10, losing the next two games, but then refocusing and ended up winning his match in the fifth game with the potential shot of the year. 

It was a strong ending to a three match weekend for the team. The Ephs look forward to next weekend when they face off against Bates, Bowdoin, and Colby at home in the Simon Squash Center.
