BRUNSWICK, ME — This Sunday, the Williams Men's Squash Team finished off their Maine road trip taking on #22 ranked Bowdoin. The Ephs fought through tired legs to finish off their time in Maine 3-0, defeating Bowdoin 7-2. Eph head coach

Sophomore Nick Agger started off the first round of matches on the three court system for the Ephs. Agger got off to a quick start and never slowed down, winning 3-0. Himanshu Pannu and Rafay Syed finished the weekend strong, dominating early and never letting up to beat their opponents in three games.
Next on court for the Ephs was co-captain Andrew Minnis who faced a talented opponent and lost in three. Senior Pierce Henderson made a return to the lineup in the #5 spot after resting Saturday. He had a bit of a slow start but regrouped and stayed solid to win 3-1. Playing in the #9 spot, John Nicholson won 3-1 after dropping the second game.
Finishing it off for the Ephs was first year Will Newton, who used his sharp attacking shots to win 3-0. Asher Leavy continued his return to form, dominating his opponent physically to win in a quick three games. Finally, Alex Akbari making an appearance on the top court, had yet another grueling match. Both of the first two games went to tiebreak and by the time the third game had finished, an hour had gone by. Unfortunately, Akbari had to retire due to injury.
The Ephs look to recover and prepare quickly for their match against #17 ranked Middlebury at home on Wednesday at 4 PM in The Simon Squash Center.
