Men’s squash battles against Cornell

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - The Williams College men's squash team fought hard against Cornell University on Sunday afternoon, falling 7-2 in a tight match against the #10 ranked Big Red.

Alex Akbari won his match 3-0 at #4, and Causey Green won 3-1 at #7, both highlights for the Ephs. A number of other players had tight matches, especially Leighton Calhoun at #6, whose match went five games.

Nick Agger at #1, Himanshu Pannu at #2, Will Newton at #5, and Rafay Syed at #8 all took games off their opponents, as the match could have flipped relatively easily.

The Ephs will spend the week preparing before facing off against NESCAC rival Hamilton on Saturday, November 22, at 2pm, also on the home courts here in Williamstown.
