Middletown, CT— This Saturday, the Williams Men's Squash Team closed out their regular season, traveling down to Connecticut to take on the Wesleyan Cardinals. The team won handily, 9-0 and secured the Little Three title for the twenty-third time in 25 years. Eph head Coach
Hesham Aly said "It was a great way to close out the season, everyone came in sharp and focused. It is also always nice to win the Little Three title."
Jack Lee, Rafay Syed, and Pierce Henderson all started off the first round of matches for the Ephs. They all won quickly in three games with Syed and Henderson both winning the first games 11-0.
Next on court for the Ephs was Nick Agger and Asher Leavy who both dispatched their opponents 3-0. Junior Gabe Ramirez had his first collegiate start in the #9 spot and came out firing. He won easily in three games.
Finishing it up for the Ephs was co-captain Andrew Minnis and Leonard Lee who both dropped a game but regrouped well to win in four games. Junior Alex Akbari also took care of business, winning 3-0.
This win secures the team a regular season top 10 ranking. The team looks to put in two good weeks of training before they head down to Philadelphia for the CSA Team Championships.
