Men’s Squash Defeats Bowdoin 8-1 in First Match in the NESCAC Tournament Hosted by Trinity

HARTFORD, CT. – Hesham Aly's Williams Men's Squash team defeated Bowdoin in the first round of the NESCAC Tournament 8-1 to up their season record to 13-3 and extend their win streak to 11.
 
With the win the Ephs advance to the Semifinals where they will play Tufts at 9:00 AM Sunday February 9. The Ephs edged Tufts 5-4 in a match played at Williams on January 6.
 
The winner of the Williams vs. Tufts match will advance to the play the winner of the noon match between Colby and host Trinity at 4:00 PM.
 
In the Bowdoin match the Ephs Andrew Minnis at number 1 was edged 3-2 in five games with the fifth game being a 12-10 battle.
 
Nick Agger won his match at number 2 posting a 3-1 result after dropping the first game. Jack Lee at number 3 swept his opponent 3-0, while Asher Leavy at number four prevailed in 4 games.
 
Alex Akbari at number 5, Himanshu Pannu at number 6, William Newton at number 7, Ty Green at number 8 and John Nicholson at number nine all won 3-0.
