WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - The Williams College men's squash team posted a sixth-straight victory on Sunday afternoon, topping Bowdoin College by an 8-1 score at the Simon Squash Center.
The Ephs were in control from the top of the ladder to the bottom, with the only blip on the radar coming at #4, where Alex Akbari was forced to retire due to injury after splitting the first two games with his opponent.Â
Of the other eight matches, only two required more than three games, as the Ephs won 3-0 at positions 6-9, with Ty Green, Dylan Scott, Rafay Syed, and Leonard Lee all winning in straight sets. Will Newton won 3-1 at #5, as did Nick Agger at #1. At #2 and #3, Himanshu Pannu and Asher Leavy also maintained control to win 3-0.
The Ephs will next hit the road after their string of home matches, first traveling to Middlebury College next Saturday, followed by visits to Amherst, Tufts, and Dartmouth, and then the NESCAC Championship at Hamilton, before hosting Bates and Wesleyan on February 21 and 22.
