WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - After ranking second among the entire NCAA landscape with a .965 save percentage and leading the No. 5-ranked Williams College women's ice hockey to its third-ever appearance in the Elite Eight of the national tournament, senior goaltender Erin Pye garnered DIIIHockeyNews.com Women's Second Team East laurels Wednesday.

The Ephs secured their second-ever NCAA win during a 2-1 overtime victory over then-No. 11 Plattsburgh State in the Sweet 16 on March 14 at Lansing Chapman Rink in Williamstown, Massachusetts, as Pye stopped 28-of-29 shots for a .966 save percentage, including making 15 enormous stops in the second period. She recorded five shutouts this season, as the Ephs (18-5-5, 9-3-4 NESCAC) posted the most wins for the program since the 2018-19 season. The program won and hosted a NESCAC playoff game for the first time since 2019, as third-seeded Williams outlasted sixth-seeded Wesleyan, 5-3, in the quarterfinal round on Feb. 28.

Pye was one of seven finalists for the Laura Hurd Award this season. The Hurd Award is given annually to the best NCAA Division III women's ice hockey student-athlete in the country. Furthermore, the outstanding student-athlete was named to the 2025-26 CCM/American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) Women's Division III East All-American Second Team.

The Third Lake, Illinois, native is a five-time NESCAC Player of the Week honoree, while collecting the conference's Player of the Year award in 2025-26. She was named to the All-Conference First Team in 2025-26, while grabbing a spot on the Second Team during the 2023-24 and 2024-25 seasons.
