WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – The New England Small College Athletics Conference (NESCAC) announced its Division III Commissioners Association (D3CA) Women's Sport Student-Athletes of the Year nominees, naming Lily Codd of the Williams College swim and dive team as Williams' sole nominee.

The D3CA Women's Sports Student-Athlete of the Year honors a graduating student-athlete who have distinguished themselves throughout their collegiate careers in the areas of academic achievement, athletics, service, and leadership.

Codd graduated from Williams with a 3.65 cumulative GPA while double majoring in biology and statistics with a concentration in Asian studies. She earned honors in biology after completing and publishing her senior thesis on genetics.

A four-time CSCAA Academic All-District selection, Codd was inducted into the Mu Sigma Rho Statistics National Honor Society as a senior and was named to the Dean's List during all four years of her Williams career.

In the pool, Codd established herself as one of the most accomplished swimmers in program history. A 12-time All-NESCAC performer, she owns the NESCAC Championship meet record in the 1,000-yard freestyle and holds two pool records at NESCAC venues.

She earned three individual conference titles and was a member of two NESCAC champion relay teams while helping the Ephs capture three consecutive NESCAC team championships from 2024-26 after a runner-up finish in 2023.

In 2026, Codd was recognized as the NESCAC Career High Point Runner-Up and received both the Neisa Muir High Point Award and the Muir Award for Leadership/Performance after earning the Leonard S. Prince Rookie of the Year Award in 2023. She was also named to the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) All-State Good Works Winter Team in 2025.

Beyond her academic and athletic success, Codd made a lasting impact across the Williams community. She served as Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) President during her senior year after serving on the Executive Board as both a sophomore and junior.

Codd also founded and led the Williams Special Olympics swimming program, worked as a youth swim instructor and genetics lab assistant, served on the Class of 2026 Leadership Team, and provided pro bono consulting for Berkshire-area nonprofits through the Alhambra Consulting Group.

A committee of conference administrators will select the NESCAC's representative to move forward to the D3CA ballot and will be announced on July 30.
