NORMAN, Okla. — The Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) announced its PLATFORM Golf Team Academic Awards for the 2025-26 year with the Williams College men's golf squad receiving the honor were among those listed for the second straight year. In addition, the Ephs garnered Presidents Special Recognition for having an average team GPA of at least 3.5.

To earn a Team Academic Award, a team must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better, and a GCAA-record 331 schools across all division of college golf achieved that standard this year. Only 155 of those schools received Presidents Special Recognition, a mere 28 of which came from Division III.

This honor comes on the heels of four Ephs being named Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars on Monday — graduated senior Will Rich, rising senior Alex Moller, and rising juniors Jack Estrella and Hunter Justice.

Led by NESCAC Coach of the Year Josh Hillman, Williams won the NESCAC Championship this past spring and competed at the NCAA Division III Championship for the first time since 2017. Both Estrella and rising sophomore Nick Smith were selected for the PING All-Region Team, while Smith was not only the NESCAC Golfer and Rookie of the Year after winning medalist honors at the conference championship, but also chosen for the GCAA All-Freshman Team.
