WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – The Williams College men's cross country team placed six runners in the top 10 on Saturday morning, edging Tufts by three points to claim first place at the Purple Valley Classic.
The Ephs finished with 27 points, led by junior
Malcolm Oakes, who placed second overall with a time of 25:15.8.
Everett Pacheco and
Henry Alexander followed closely behind, finishing fourth and fifth, respectively, with times of 25:30.0 and 25:32.3.
TJ Zwall placed seventh in 25:34.2, while
Finn Miller finished ninth in 25:37.0. Keiyu Miller rounded out the Ephs' top 10, placing 10th with a time of 25:39.8.
Pacheco, Alexander, and
Finn Miller each recorded personal-best times in the race.
The Ephs will have a weekend off before returning to competition on Oct. 3, when they travel to Northfield, Minn., to compete at Carleton.
