SINGLES

The first Williams women's tennis competitor in the NCAA Singles Tournament was Amy Davidson '90.

Erica Ekstrand '24 became the first Eph to win the NCAA Singles title in 2021.

Penny Foss '93 became the first Eph to advance to the semifinals of the NCAA Singles Tournament. Several Williams players since 2000 have followed up on Foss' accomplishment and advanced to the semifinals.

Cary Gibson '09 and Grace Baljon '10 became the first Ephs to reach the Singles Semifinals in the same year when they accomplished the feat in 2008. Co-captains Kara Shoemaker & Kathleen Elkins repeated this feat their senior year in 2014.

Gibson then became the first Eph to advance to the finals of the NCAA Singles and finished second (2008). Baljon made it to the championship match in 2010 and finished second.

In 2016 sophomore Juli Raventos became the third Eph singles player to advance to the singles finals and she finished second. Raventos, however, became the first Eph player to appear in both the NCAA Singles and Doubles tournament finals in the same year.

DOUBLES

Julie Greenwood '96 and Becky Mallory '95 became the first Ephs to win the NCAA Doubles title in 1994.

Greenwood then teamed up with Porter Harris '96 to win the 1996 Doubles title.

In 2015 freshman Juli Raventos and sophomore Linda Shin won the NCAA Doubles title. Raventos and Shin became the first Eph team to win back-to-back NCAA Doubles titles when they won in 2016. In 2018 Julia Raventos won her third NCAA Doubles crown when she teamed up with classmate Julia Cancio.
