Ephs lead Little 3 in championships won for 25th consecutive year

WILLIAMSTOWN, MA -- Williams won 17 outright Little Three titles in 2009-10 and tied for three more to finish atop the Little Three competition with Amherst and Wesleyan again.

The Little Three is the nation’s oldest athletic conference without a membership change, dating back to 1910.

This marks the 25th consecutive year that the Ephs have won the most Little Three titles in an academic year. Currenlty there are 24 Little 3 titles up for grabs.

Amherst was the last school to win more Little Three titles than Williams when back in 1984-85  they totaled 10 to the Ephs’ seven and Wesleyan’s five.

Overall this year the Ephs rang up a Little Three record of 51-13-1 (.792), while Amherst compiled a record of 35-26-1 (.573) and Wesleyan notched a record of 8-55-2.
