WILIAMSTOWN, MA -- Williams will race Wesleyan Saturday morning for the Little Three championship beginning at 10:00 AM on the Ephs’ home course on Onota Lake in Pittsfield. The men and women will alternate races throughout the morning.
Amherst no longer participates in the Little Three rowing championship so it will just be the Ephs and Cardinals fighting it out in Novice, Varsity 1, Varsity 2, and Varsity 3 races.
Racing conditions are expected to be excellent with a sunny day, that will find and the temperature topping out at 65 degrees.
Both Eph teams enter off of strong opening performances last weekend in their first races up north when they won the Donahue Cup at Worcester’s Lake Quinsigamond.
Last year the men won the Little Three title for a record eighth year in a row and along with that record the Ephs retained possession of the Saratoga Oar.
The Eph women recorded their 16th consecutive Little Three title a year ago and will be out to extend their streak to 17 on Saturday.
