HADLEY, MA -- Williams College sophomore shortstop Jack Roberts (Vineyard Haven, MA) has been chosen as the New England Small College Athletic Conference Baseball Player of the Week for play ending March 29.
Roberts batted .481 with a .516 on-base percentage and a .667 slugging percentage over a 5-2 week for the Ephs, driving in 10 runs and scoring 10 runs, and stealing three bases without getting caught. In the three-game Middlebury series that Williams swept, Roberts was 8-for-11 (.727 BA) with five RBI, seven runs scored and two stolen bases.
On Tuesday afternoon Mar. 31 the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) named Roberts and Nick Sedia of Albertus Magnus College, Senior, INF/P, Bronx, N.Y., Co-New England Players of the Week.
Williams concluded its spring break trip to Arizona with a 6-5 record and is scheduled to open the New England portion of its schedule Friday in Williamstown against Little 3 rival Wesleyan.
