Big 9th inning leads to an Eph win at Skidmore, 11-4

Saratoga Springs, NY. – Williams came out with the exciting win in today's contest at Skidmore scoring 10 runs in the ninth to attle back from a 4-1 deficitheading into the final inning. Williams moves to 9-14 overall and Skidmore moves to 10-17 after today's game.

The Ephs will next play a three-game non-conference series at Bowdoin College. Saturday will feature a doubleheader with the first game at noon followed by the second game at 2:30 pm. Sunday the teams will meet at noon.

David Rosas played a major role in the Williams win today going 3-for-6 with 5 RBI's. Doug Schaffer and Kellen Hatheway also contributed both going 2-for-4 with 1 RBI.

The Ephs scored the first run of the game in the top of the second inning off Rosas' first of many RBI singles sending Adam Regensburg home. After this inning the Williams' offense hit a stand-still and not a single run was scored until the ninth inning.

Skidmore got on the board in the bottom of the second scoring two runs off a single from Jeb Clarke. By the end of the third inning, Skidmore had scored a total of 4 runs and were leading the Ephs 4-1.

Both teams were then quiet, scoring no runs until the Ephs went on to mount a huge rally in the top of the ninth.

Rosas led the charge with a 2-RBI double. Alex Panstares tied the game scoring a run off a wild pitch followed by an RBI single from Jackson Parese to continue the momentum. The Ephs scored 6 more runs in the rest of the inning from RBI singles form Regensburg and Beau Horan as well as RBI doubles from Hatheway and Rosas.

Skidmore was unable to respond to this energized offense from Williams and went scoreless in the bottom of the ninth allowing the Ephs to take the comeback win, 11-4.
Arnie Capute took the win for Williams in today's contest pitching two innings giving up no hits and striking out 3. Will Potter took the loss for Skidmore pitching 0.1 innings giving up 3 hits and throwing no strike outs.
