Doug Schaffer Drove in 17 Runs in the Ephs' First Six Games

HADLEY, MA -- Doug Schaffer, a senior infielder from New haven, Conn. hit .600 in six games last week as the Ephs started the season 5-1. He was 15-for-25 at the plate with five doubles, two triples, a .586 on-base percentage, and a .960 slugging percentage.

In six games he drove in 17 runs, four more than he had in the entire 2018 season, and he also scored four runs. In a 9-8 win over #9 Johns Hopkins, Schaffer was 3-for-4 with five RBIs, including a three-run triple in the first inning that gave Williams a 3-0 lead. He did not commit an error in 51 chances at first base.
