WILLIAMSTOWN, MA — Williams College head football coach Aaron Kelton named four captains for the upcoming 2011 season Monday.
The Ephs are coming off their seventh perfect season and third outright conference championship in the 125-year history of the program. The four captains for 2011 are all seniors: Dylan Schultz, who was also a captain last season; Dan O'Mara, J.C. Stickney and Steve Denza.

assists (23), tackles for a loss (8.5) and sacks (8.5/33 yards). He also registered one pass interception, forced two fumbles and recovered one.
"The team's inspirational and defensive leader," Kelton said. "Dylan epitomizes the true meaning of captain. He is a natural leader and an example to the team."
Dan O'Mara notched 43 tackles this season to rank him third on the Eph squad. 26 of O'Mara's tackles were solos and five were TFLs. He picked off two passes and broke up five passes.
"Dan is the most athletic and aggressive player on the team," Kelton said. "He shows great work ethic and mental toughness. He is an extremely physical player who leads by example."
Sitckney had a breakout season hauling in 31 passes for 510 yards and 3 TDs. Stickney had two TD catches in the win over Amherst and he averaged 16.5 yards a catch this fall.

field," Kelton said. "He is a big strong receiver who possesses deceptive speed. He makes the tough play look easy and he plays with a lot of confidence. He has great work ethic and leads by example."
Denza and his mates up front allowed the Ephs to generate the most offense in NESCAC and most points, while protecting the passer by allowing less than one sack a game.
"Steve is a vocal leader who will do what it takes for the team," Kelton said. "He is our most polished lineman. He is big and strong and physical and will anchor our offensive line. Steve is very unselfish and will be a tremendous leader for our team and our young players."
Williams opens its 2011 season Sept. 24 at Bowdoin College.
