SERIES:  Began in 1885.  Williams leads the series 51-22-7.  Williams owns a modest 2-game win streak over the Jumbos. Tufts' last win came in Medford 17-7 in 2008.

Last year in Medford the Ephs had to come from behind to overcme the Jumbos 35-24 behind a school-record tying 4 rushing TDs by Ryan Lupo. Lupo ran for 180 yards on 39 carries.

Tufts last win on Weston Field came in 1981 (9-6).

COACHES:  Aaron Kelton (10-2) is in his second year at the helm of the Ephs. Kelton was the first Eph head football coach to debut with a perfect season (8-0-0) in 2010, when he led the Ephs to the Little Three and NESCAC titles, while earning NESCAC Coach of the Year honors. 

Kelton is the first African American head football coach at Williams and in NESCAC.

Kelton is 1-0 vs. Tufts.

Jay Civetti (0-4) is the interim head coach of the Tufts Jumbos after serving as an assistant coach under Bill Samko for three years. Civetti was an outstanding offensive lineman at Trinity earnng ECAC Rookie of the Year honors, All-NESCAC, All-New England, and All-American honors.


LAST WEEK:  Williams evened its record at 2-2 by rushing for five TDs in a 48-28 win at Middlebury. Junior Tom Wohlender ran for three scores and sophomore Marco Hernandez ran for two and both went ran for over 100 yards.

In Medford Tufts gave undefeated Trinity fits before succumbing 9-0 to the Bantams. Trinity ran for 293 yards and both of their scores came on possessions that started in Tufts' territory.

Jumbo senior LB Zack Skarznynski posted an imprssive game-high 18 tackles including 2.5 for losses versus Trinity..

Tufts' last win on Weston Field came in 1981 (9-6), but the Jumbos did tie the Ephs in both 1983 (35-35) and 1985 (7-7)
