Ladd Hamrick and Sam Krieg Named to Capital One All-District 1 All-Academic First Team

WILLIAMSTOWN, MA – Senior defensive back Ladd Hamrick and senior tight end Sam Krieg have been named to the Capital One District 1 Football Academic All-District First Team as voted on by the district's Sports Information Directors.

This marks the second consecutive year that Hamrick has been named to the District 1 First Team.

First Team honorees appear on the ballot for Academic All-America consideration.

Hamrick hails from Charlotte, NC and is a four-year letterman and a two-year starter in the Eph defensive backfield.

This season Hamrick has 18 solo tackles and has assisted on six more in the six games he has played. He has also broken up one pass and recovered one fumble.

A double major in history and political science Hamrick owns a cumulative GPA of 3.85. He has also been named Academic All-NESCAC three times and was a semifinalist for the National Football Foundation William V. Campbell Trophy.

 Krieg, a senior tight end from Milwaukee, WI, is known more for his blocking in the Eph running game than as a receiver. He has five catches for 73 yards this season.

A two-year starter and four-year letterman Krieg has earned Academic All-NESCAC honors three times. Krieg has made the Dean's List all six semesters. An economics major, Krieg has a cumulative GPA of 3.92.
