T.J. Rothmann selected NESCAC Defensive Player of the Week

HADLEY, MA — Sophomore linebacker T.J. Rothmann (Norwell, MA) has been selected as the New England Small College Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week for play ending Sunday, September 30. 

Rothmann spearheaded the defensive effort for Williams in a win over Trinity, the Ephs' first over the Bantams since 2010. He made a game-high 15 tackles (8 solo), had one pass breakup, intercepted a pass in the end zone that stopped a thirdquarter drive by Trinity, and recovered a fumble in the fourth quarter that ended another Trinity possession. 

Rothmann leads the Ephs with 29 tackles, 18 solo, in three games, four coming for a total loss of 13 yards. He has an interception, a fumble recovery and a pass break-up as well.
