WILLIAMSTOWN, MASS. -- The Williams College Sideline Quarterback annual football banquet honoring the Williams football team was held Sunday, December 2 at the Williams Inn.
Head coach Mark Raymond handed out six longtime special awards to deserving team members. The 2018 Eph team posted the second consecutive winning season under Raymond who did not have a chance to recruit for his first Eph team.
The 2018 Ephs went 5-4 on the year and Williams was the only team to pin a defeat on Trinity College. Shortly after the eye-opening win over Trinity the injury bug hit the Ephs and having the smallest roster in NESCAC the price for those injuries was steep.
Eph head football coach Mark Raymond spoke about each award recipient and thanked the Sideline Quarterback Club for their continued support..
The oldest Eph football team award is the Belvidere Brooks Memorial Award, which was first awarded in 1919.
The newest football award debuted in 2011 and is the prestigious Michael Meredith Reily '64 Award that was established by the Class of 1964 and teammates of Mike Reily. The winner of the Reily Award is determined by a vote of team members.
