HADLEY, MA — Williams College junior wide receiver Frank Stola (Northport, N.Y.) was selected as the New England Small College Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week for play ending Saturday, October 12th. It was the second time this season Stola garnered the NESCAC POTW honor.
Stola caught four touchdown passes in the Ephs' 35-10 win over Hamilton, tying his own Williams single-game record set earlier this season. He caught a total of eight passes for 168 yards and had touchdown receptions of 20, 26, 14 and 54 yards. He also set new Williams records for touchdown receptions in a season, career receptions, and became the first Eph to reach 2,000 yards in career reception yardage, expanding another record he broke this season, most career reception yards (2,091).
Already this season Stola had set new Williams' marks for single-game receiving yards, and tied the mark for most receptions in a single game.
Stola currently leads the NESCAC in receptions (35), yards (736), receptions (7.0) and yards per game (147.2) in addition to touchdowns (12). His 21 yards per catch in second in the conference. He is also first in the conference with 860 all-purpose yards.
